Birds caught in light

Radar images showing almost 16,000 birds caught in the area around New York City’s “Tribute in Lights” after the unshielded lights are turned on for 20 minutes.  This shows the profound effect unshielded artificial light can have on migrating birds.  Kyle Horton, aeroecolab.com, Colorado State University.  See also the video of birds caught in the light.
